Rubicon is such a vibrant brand; so when asked to collaborate on bringing their latest campaign to life, we were eager to get involved. We needed to create a set of above the line, quirky animations for their new line of drinks.
Each drink featured ingredients from different areas of the world, all of which needed to be playfully visualised using cutout imagery and photomotion animation.
Drawing from influences like Terry Gilliam, we decided that stop motion inspired, 2D cutout animation would be the perfect solution for this brief. We love this animation technique and have used it for ourselves many times over the years.
We worked closely with the client to ensure the movement and playfulness were just right and built the animations to be flexible to roll it out across all digital platforms.
